Production

In a very short period of time we can give you an offer based on your 3-D data or drawings. Then modern technology and craftsmanship are applied to translate your specification to series production.

In this process, we team up with innovative, linked-up model and tool making companies.

Of course we provide secure communication of CAD data via OFTP and ENGDAT data exchange for our customers.

Our conventional shaking-pressing-lifting-molding-machine produces sandboxes in the boxformats:

  • 430 x 330 x 100/150 mm
  • 500 x 400 x 100/150 mm
  • 600 x 400 x 125/150 mm
  • 740 x 500 x 125/150 mm
  • 740 x 620 x 100/150 mm
  • 800 x 560 x 125/185 mm
  • 900 x 500 x 125/180 mm
  • more boxformats are available in combination

Chill casting consists of casting aluminum into permanent metal molds, called chill-molds.
This method is used for middle-sized to large batches of technically challenging aluminum castings.
Technically challenging refers to our ability to also manufacture parts with a complicated design featuring sophisticated inside geometry and undercuts.
Rapid heat dissipation leads to a fine-grained structure with good mechanical properties of the chill castings.
The process is characterized by great dimensional accuracy.

We use the chill casting method to manufacture aluminum castings of dimensions up to approx. 1300 x 500 mm, depending on component geometry, and in the weight range of 0,2 kg to 30,0 kg per single piece. All common European standard alloys as well as special alloys are processed.

For chill-mold manufacture we work with reliable partners who make chill-molds out of steel using modern CNC metal working machines. With the aid of state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technologies, drawings and 3D models are converted into casting tools aimed at service life and dimensional stability.

The described quality control and quality assurance measures guarantee excellent quality also for chill casting.

An important element within the continuous process chain at MH GussTec is mechanical processing of rough castings, which is necessary to make them fully ready for use.

Taking on this challenge MH GussTec offers fully processed and assembled parts, ready to be installed at the customer’s facilities. All standard technologies based on finished parts’ or working CAD data or drawings are offered for processing on state-of-the-art CNC machines.

Our manufacturing department runs automated machining systems with up to 5 axes and a broad range of travel movements for parts of up to 10500 mm length and most varied geometries.

A network of certified partners ensures the availability of flexible production capacities for middle and large sized series.

Fast and smooth order work flow and the required quality are our top priorities in processing. Unnecessary idle and waiting times are avoided and finished prototype parts are available for further use within just a few days.

All CAD and CNC data resulting from cast part processing are, of course, made available to our customers for further use.

Upon customer request we perform a leak test as an additional quality assuring measure within the production process.
This ensures that leakages can be detected and ruled out in the end product.

This test is performed as a 100 percent trial using the pressure differential method or applying air under water.
State-of-the-art equipment is available for its completion.

The strength properties of aluminum alloys can be enhanced specifically by heat treatment.
For this purpose, the parts undergo a three-stage hardening process: by perfectly matching the individual steps solution annealing,
quenching and aging the aluminum casting obtains better structural strength.

For this heat treatment, a crucible furnace and an aging furnace of 1200x800x800 mm capacity each are available.
